Canadian composer and songwriter Paul Zaza started out as a classically trained pianist. Zaza has a degree from the prestigious Toronto Conservatory of Music. Moreover, Paul played bass in a Canadian touring company production of the hit musical "Hair" and toured with the The 5th Dimension in the s. Zaza first began doing film scores in the late '70s. He's worked in a diverse of array of genres that include comedy (Hog Wild (), Gas ()), drama (Isaac Littlefeathers (), which was nominated for a Genie Award for Best Music Score), thriller (American Nightmare (), _Blindside_), action (Bullies (), No Contest ()), and science fiction (The Vindicator (), The Pink Chiquitas ()). Paul frequently collaborated with director Robert Clark: Among the Clark movies he composed the scores for are Murder by Decree () (Zaza won the Genie Award for Best Music Score for his terrific score on this particular picture), the first two uproariously raunchy "Porky's" flicks

Paul Zaza (born ) is a Canadian Genie Award-winning film score and songwriter who worked frequently with director Bob Clark and with fellow composer Carl Zittrer. He has composed scores for more than films.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Originally from Toronto, Zaza trained as a classical pianist, graduating from the Royal Conservatory of Music.[2]
Career
[edit]In Zaza won the Genie Award for Best Music Score alongside Carl Zittrer for their work on Murder by Decree.[3] That year the pair teamed up again to write the score for the film Prom Night.[4]
