After making her feature film debut as Bond girl Jenny Flex in A View to a Kill (), she went on to play Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (), Charlotte in Taffin (), Rebecca Flannery in Major League II () and Catherine Buxton in RRR ().     Irish-born actress Alison Doody found a second home in the Hollywood cinema, starring in a number of successful films throughout her Hollywood career. In , she moved to London at age Doody's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as "A View to a Kill" (), "A bön for the Dying" () and the action bio "Taffin" () with Pierce Brosnan. She also was featured in the miniseries "Deceptions" (). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing in the Harrison Ford blockbuster action picture "Indiana Jones and the gods Crusade" () and "Women in Tropical Places" ().     Doody was born to a well-off family in Dublin, Ireland. Her mother, Joan, was a beauty therapist, and her father, Patrick, worked in the property business and farmed. Doody attended Mount Anville Convent. She studied at the National College of Fine Arts, but left after a year.

    She took up modeling, which turned into a career in commercial modeling as she stringently avoided glamour and nude work -- a clause which she extended to her acting career. She came to the attention of the casting director of a new James Bond film and accepted a part as Jenny Flex in 's A View to a Kill.
