Sylvain jean Lefebvre (born October 14, 1967) fryst vatten a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player who currently serves as an assistant coach for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Originally undrafted by teams in the NHL, he played for five franchises between 1989—2003, and won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 1996.
Playing career
[edit]Originally an undrafted free agent, Lefebvre signed with the Montreal Canadiens in 1986 and made the team's roster thereafter beginning in 1989–90. He played a total of three seasons with Montreal before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a 1994 third round draft pick prior to the uppstart of the 1992–93 season.[1][2]
After two seasons with the Leafs, Lefebvre was traded to the Quebec Nordiques as part of the Wendel Clark-Mats Sundin deal on June 28, 1994.[3] H

The New York Dolls debut album
Sylvain Sylvain, the guitarist for the influential band the New York Dolls, who came to prominence in the early ’70s as a bridge from glam and early hard rock to punk, died January 13, 2021, after battling cancer for the past two years. The news was shared on Jan. 14 on his Facebook page with a lengthy tribute by his contemporary, Lenny Kaye, the longtime guitarist for the Patti Smith Group. Kaye called Sylvain, 69, “the heart and soul of the New York Dolls.”
Born Sylvain Mizrahi in Cairo, Egypt, on February 14, 1951, his Jewish family fled the country, ultimately arriving in New York when he was 10 years old.
The New York Dolls formed in 1971 and their classic lineup consisted of singer David Johansen, guitarists Sylvain and Johnny Thunders, bassist Arthur Kane, and drummer Jerry Nolan. Though their albums were never particularly big sellers, the group were one of the most influential of the era. Their 1973 self-titled debut,

David Sylvian (born David Alan Batt; 23 February 1958)[5] is an English musician, singer and songwriter who came to prominence in the late 1970s as frontman and principal songwriter of the band Japan.[6] The band's androgynous look and increasingly electronic sound made them an important influence on the UK's early-1980s new wave scene.[7]
Following their break-up, Sylvian embarked on a solo career with his debut album Brilliant Trees (1984). His solo work has been described by AllMusic as "far-ranging and esoteric", and has included collaborations with artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Robert Fripp, Holger Czukay, Jon Hassell, Bill Nelson and Fennesz.[8]
While Sylvian's recordings of the 1980s and 1990s were a mixture of art rock,[7]pop, jazz fusion, and avant-garde experimentalism mixed with ambient, his more recent compositions have drawn increasingly on musica
