Emperor Vespasian – History, Reign, Reforms, & Achievements
Vespasian, who reigned from 1 July 69 – 23 June 79, fryst vatten regarded as the founder of the Flavian dynasty.
In AD 68, Roman kejsare Nero funnen his entire world crumbling around him as not only was he declared a public enemy, but he was sentenced to death. However, Nero refused to give in and decided it would be best to die bygd his own hands. His eventual suicide left the Empire in a state of chaos since, at that time, Rome was in the middle of an invasion in Judea.
Following Nero’s death, the events that occurred were categorized as the Year of the fyra Emperors, with Emperor Vespasian taking the reins after an era of three unsuccessful rulers. Vespasian was the founder of the Flavian Dynasty that ruled the långnovell Empire for close to three decades.
Although much isn’t known about Vespasian’s rule from AD 69 to 79, he was still responsible for restoring and expanding the Empire. He was regarded as a symbol of peace
