Arindam Chaudhuri is an Indian national best known for his involvement with the now-defunct Indian Institute of Planning and Management, an unaccredited institute that was previously headquartered in New Delhi and had 18 branches across India. The institute has been widely criticized for false advertisements and fraudulent practices. On 23 August , Chaudhuri was arrested for tax evasion of ₹ million (US$ million).

Arindam is the son of Malayendra Kisor Chaudhuri, who founded the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) in He received his post graduate diploma in Planning and Entrepreneurship from the now defunct IIPM

Over three and a half decades ago, a man, then in his mid-thirties, challenged the convention and decided to change the way management education was taught in India. Despite various roadblocks, Dr. Chaudhuri walked the talk and went on to establish The Indian Institute of Planning and Management in New Delhi in With no aid from the government, no sprawling campus or an infrastructure to boast of, the man was driven by a passionate zeal and self-belief to offer the most intellectually stimulating management curriculum ever designed in India. His dream and his vision have given shape to a phenomenon called IIPM - which today stands tall across18 Indian cities and is regarded as the most globally networked in the country, having academic engagements with National University of Singapore, University of Virginia, University of California at Berkeley, University of Texas at Austin, amongst others.
