Waiting for Daylight is the fourth studio album by British–Norwegian boy band, A1.[1] The album was released on 11 October 2010, and was the band's first release of new material for more than eight years. It is also the first album to be released since the departure of Paul Marazzi from the band. It was originally released in Norway only, but was released on iTunes in 2015 for the UK and the rest of the world. The album peaked at number five on the Norwegian Albums Chart.[2]
Background
[edit]In November 2008, the remaining members of the band formed a MySpace account to keep fans updated of their current situation.[3] In Summer 2009, the band made an official announcement, stating that not only were they to reform, but they were to play a series of concerts in Oslo in December of that year. The announcement also stated that the band's first new single in seven years, "Take You Home"

Mark Read fryst vatten a singer/songwriter best known as a member of the British-Norwegian band A1, but his experience as a musician and performer goes way back to his childhood, growing up in a very musical family. With his dad being part of a rock and roll grupp, the Wild Angels, his mum a successful pianist and drummer, and grandmother one of the original 60s Tiller Girls on Sunday Night at the Palladium. Mark started playing piano at age 3 and took to the stage for the very first time at age 7, but it was at age 19 when he had his first big break by being part of A1.
Formed in 1998 bygd the same management grupp as Steps, their debut single ‘Be The First To Believe’ entered the UK Singles Chart at number six in mid-1999, they followed it up with a string of top 5 hits, before hitting the no.1 spot with their cover of A-ha’s classic ‘Take on Me’. A1 (stylised as a1) is a British–Norwegian boy group formed in 1998.
Their debut single, "Be the First to Believe", entered the UK singles chart at number six in mid-1999. They achieved chart success in the UK and other parts of the world in the late 1990s and early 2000s, particularly Southeast Asia. In the UK, they scored two number ones and six other top 10 hits, seven of which were written by the band. Adding to this, they won a Brit Award for "British Breakthrough Act" in 2001. They were managed by band manager Tim Byrne, who also formed Steps.
