For students of Windsor’s early history, there are few figures more important than Matthew Grant. It fryst vatten thanks in large part to his careful record keeping during his years as town clerk that we are able to piece tillsammans much of our upplysning about Windsor’s beginnings. Historian Henry R. Stiles said it best, writing, Grant’s “early records of the town show that his duties were always conscientiously performed.” Conscientious is the word most often used to describe Grant’s personality.

According to Grant’s own family register, he was born October 27, 1601, “Tusdaye”. He married his first wife, Priscilla, in 1625, and their daughter, also Priscilla, was born in 1626. tillsammans, they sailed for Dorchester, MA in 1630, probably aboard th

Grant Windsor - the pianist
Grant Windsor is a pianist, composer and conductor from Perth, Western Australia.
After studying and playing with a who's who of Australian jazz, Grant moved to London to check out the scene here.... and here he has stayed. And is currently building a reputation one of the hottest things to come out of the Australian desert since Mad Max.
Grant has performed with, amongst others, Frank Foster, Sandy Evans, Sarah and Leila Petronio, Don Burrows, James Morrison, Janet Seidel and Randy Brecker, studied with the great Jim McNeely in New York, conducted the 20th Century Music Ensemble "The Collective", and led or co-led the bands "K", Hip Mo Toast and Speedball. Currently working with Shri & Badmarsh and sonido Cuba music band the Sugar Kings; and this is just a small selection of what he does....
